Troy Oppie joined the KBOI-TV 2Sports team in October 2008. He is the weekend sports anchor and reporter for the 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts, joining anchor Adam Rodriquez and Alana Brophy on those newscasts.

Troy has more than four years experience in the Pacific Northwest, most recently as sports director at KECI (NBC) in Missoula, Montana. Prior to KECI he was a Broadcast Associate for Fox Sports Northwest; doing a variety of things behind the scenes on “FSN Live!” and "Huskies All-Access."

He has also worked as an assistant producer for XXL Sports, producer of live sports events aired on Altitude television.

Troy was born and raised in Seattle, Washington and is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism.
