Up to three Broncos to miss Oregon game
By Troy OppieBronco players Michael Atkinson and Andy Silsby will both miss significant parts of the season this year. Atklinson was suspended by the team for the first three games after being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident. Atkinson has additional unspecified duties relating to the incident as well, "He's got some things to do for us before he plays," said head coach Chris Petersen. Petersen added he may miss more time if he fails to fulfill those extra duties. Andy Silsby tore his ACL playing softball and will miss the entire season. Silsby will act as a player-coach this year. The third player in question is freshman wide receiver Kirby Moore, brother of quarterback Kellen. Kirby broke his foot this summer and is "week-to-week" according to Petersen. |
