Victims finds man breaking inside Boise Bench home

Authorities said they arrested a 46-year-old Boise man at about noon Wednesday on the Boise Bench after he allegedly broke into a home.

Victims told police a strange man, who appeared to be intoxicated at the time, had used some kind of tool to cut through a plastic covering on a window at the home located in the 1000 block of Berkeley street.

The suspect, David Johnson, who is not known to the victims, then entered the home through the window, police say. The victims, returning home, tell police they were startled when the suspect, who appeared to them to be drunk, suddenly appeared inside the house. After a brief struggle, the suspect exited the home and the victims called police.

Officers located the suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated, sitting in front of the home. The suspect did not offer an explanation for his actions.
