Woman arrested at Boise Bench home after shoplifting incident

Authorities say a 27-year-old Boise woman has been arrested after she apparently helped a male suspect flee during a shoplifting incident gone wrong.

Officials say loss prevention employees at a retail store on Franklin saw an unknown male conceal items and then leave the store without paying for them. As the employee confronted the suspect, he became combative.

During the scuffle, a female, later identified as Michelle Turner, jumped onto the employee's back and yelled to the male suspect to run, before fleeing herself.

Boise Police later identified the female suspect and arrested her at a home on the 2200 block of Targee.

Turner has been charged with burglary and battery, which are both felonies.
