Two local teachers get big awards for innovation in classroom

Eight teachers in Idaho, including two in the Treasure Valley, have won thousands of dollars for innovation in the classroom.

Samantha Mora teaches Spanish at Borah High and won $10,000 from the Qwest foundation for innovative technology projects.

Neil Barson, who teaches at Lake Hazel Middle School, was awarded nearly $8,000.

"We are very fortunate - the greatest benefit is for the kids that they get to use this technology," Barson said.
