Authorities have arrested a Boise man on felony driving under the influence after they say they saw him driving erratically on the Boise Bench.
Boise Police say they saw a vehicle speeding and swerving within its lane early Friday (March 5) just after midnight as it travelled eastbound on Overland.
Officers stopped the driver, Derek Davis, at Overland and Roosevelt. The suspect, who appeared to be under the influence at the time, failed several field sobriety tests and a blood draw was performed for later testing.
Officers say they recovered a small amount of marijuana from the vehicle. A check through Ada County records indicated the 38-year-old has had two prior convictions for DUI making this charge a felony.
