Nampa gang members sentenced for murder
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Two Nampa gang members have been sentenced to prison for the stabbing death of another man in April.

Miguel Talavera, 19, and Bobby Zepeda, 18, were both sentenced to serve 25 years in prison for stabbing 18-year-old Victor Garcia 17 times in the Indian Creek subdivision in Caldwell on April 28.

The Canyon County Prosecutor's Office says the two were seen at a party with other known gang members earlier in the day.

“If you commit crimes as part of a gang, you will go to prison,” said Judge Molly Huskey in a press release.

Both men will have to serve ten years before being eligible for parole.

“This was a senseless murder," said Canyon County Prosecutor Bryan Taylor. "Gang violence will not be tolerated in the community. I appreciate the efforts of the Caldwell Police Department Street Crimes Unit, who worked tirelessly with my deputy prosecutors to bring these individuals to justice.”
