BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - People headed up Bogus Basin Road in search of sun Saturday, packing the turnouts above the inversion.
"It's unbelievable," said Kellie Drzayich. "To see the blue sky, it's hard to believe that it's really real. We've had so much smog for so long."
People packed picnics, books and lawn chairs after weeks without seeing sunshine.
"I've never seen so many people out (in 20 years of coming up here)," said Cheryl Burke of Boise. "(We're) having fun, smiling, getting out of the thick fog and smog in the city, and everybody's just having a happy day."
Many cherished their time in the sun and wanted to wish the clouds farewell.
"I love Boise, and I can't wait to see more of this more consisently," said Craig Lunsford of Eagle.
