Mountain Home P.E. teacher charged with lewd conduct
BOISE, Idaho - A physical education teacher in the Mountain Home School District has been charged with felony lewd conduct after he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a minor.

Boise Police says 42-year-old Grant Alyn Bothen of Eagle turned himself into the Ada County Jail on Wednesday after an arrest warrant was issued.

Boise PD says it received a report of sexual abuse involving a minor back in May. Detectives say the alleged crime occurred in a Boise home between January and May of 2012.

The suspect and victim are known to each other.

Tim McMurtrey, Mountain Home School District superintendent, told KBOI-TV that Bothen is still employed with the district, but was "not currently in the classroom."

McMurtrey says Bothen was the gym teacher for fifth and sixth grade students at Hacker Middle School in Mountain Home.
