NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Nampa's going to all basketball all weekend with girls high school teams duking it out for the state crown. With the teams, family's from all over the state are crowding in to watch. "We would probably be in the neighborhood of 40 to 50 thousand over the next few days," Randy Strong said. He is the director for the 5A girls high school tournament throughout the weekend.
48 teams will be coming through to play 16 games at the Idaho center. And they all have to be staying somewhere and feeding somewhere while they play. "Went to the Fork last night that was fun. Had a little sushi, yea great town," said Ann Sumner of Coeur d'Alene.
Business's in the area say they're getting good pops throughout the day, it comes in waves as a bus will pull up wanting a Vito #5. "It's somewhere between exciting and terrifying because we are freaky fast and that's how fast we've got to make those sandwiches move. So we see a bus load we've got but minutes to feed the entire team," Matt Reed Jimmy Johns manager said.
