BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Ada County Highway District is asking folks to call, email or use a smartphone app to report potholes for a three-day drive called "Pothole Days."

"On occasion, you run into some really good potholes and you don't know how deep they are," said Mimi Kohnke of Boise. "It's kind of like diving into the abyss and the unknown when you hit one of those."

The ACHD website has information on Pothole Days, which is April 1-3, so they can fix the damage that winter left behind. The agency says the three ways to report a pothole are: emailing tellus@achdidaho.org, using the ACHD Reporter Smartphone App and calling (208) 387-6325 (E. of Cole Road) or (208) 387-6350 (W. of Cole Road).

"Now that I'm here, I will definitely report every pothole that I see," Kohnke said.

ACHD says crews typically repair potholes within 24 hours, but they expect a lot of requests the next few days, so it might take them a little longer to get around to yours.
