Inmate escapes South Idaho Correctional Institution
BOISE - A minimum custody inmate has escaped from South Idaho Correctional Institution, officials said Monday.

Cory Allen Collinson was discovered missing Monday. On Jan. 18, 2006 he was sentenced to 18 months to three for a possession of a controlled substance conviction out of Kootenai County.

Officials did not say how they believe he may have escaped. Collinson would have completed his full sentence on Sept. 14, 2009.

Collinson is white, 35 years old, 6’3”, 185 pounds with blue eyes, blonde hair and a fair complexion.

South Idaho Correctional Institution is south of Boise. It houses low
risk offenders who are preparing for their release.
