Idaho parents warned children may have seen dead body

IDAHO FALLS (AP) - Administrators at Temple View Elementary School in Idaho Falls are warning parents that their students may have viewed a grisly scene.

Principal Natalie Peters sent a letter on Friday informing parents that police were called to a church near the school early that morning after people passing by saw a body on its front steps.

Peters said many students are dropped off or walk behind the church, and so they passed the scene. After police arrived the body was covered and patrol cars blocked some of the view, but Peters said some students did see the covered body.

Idaho Falls police officials said the body was that of a suicide victim.
