Teacher arrested for sexual battery on paid leave
BOISE - A Borah High School teacher has been arrested for sexual battery of a child. And the victim, according to prosecutors, was one of her students.

Boise Police arrested Borah High teacher Michelle Farley, 40, last week.
At this time, police do not believe there are any more victims.

Police say multiple incidents have occurred between the victim and Farley since May 2008. Detectives also added that she showed a pattern of behavior that began when the incidents started.

She's now been placed on paid administrative leave, according to school district officials.

A message posting from 2005 on the website RateMyTeachers.com described Farley as being "super cute and really cool as long as you are mature you can talk about almost anything in her class."

The Borah High School website lists Farley as a psychology teacher at the school. Farley has been with the district since 1994 and makes about $55,000 a year, school district officials say.

The court issued no contact order with the victim and any children other than her own. Defense lawyer Chuck Peterson said Farley would post her bond of $10,000.

"She poses absolutely no risk tor harm to anyone either herself or the community," Peterson said.
