BOISE - It's no secret that the economy continues to challenge businesses throughout our country.

We have given you coverage of several Idaho company restructures in the last year.

We want to continue our efforts to keep our transparency to you as well. We have also had to make the tough call to lay off a few of our family members here at CBS 2.

In an internal restructure of some departments within our TV station, CBS 2 has laid off six people this week. The decision is directly related to these challenging economic times.

We will continue to bring you news, weather and sports - we will just take a few extra steps ourselves to make sure we bring you the best news coverage in the Treasure Valley.
