Two-car crash kills siblings from Northern Idaho

LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Idaho State Police say a brother and sister from Lenore were killed in a car accident on U.S. Highway 12 near Lewiston.

Police said 18-year-old Temi C. Meninick and 27-year-old Daniel J. Meninick died at the scene.

The two were in a 1999 Dodge Stratus when it swerved through the median and flipped over Monday morning. It was skidding backward on its roof when it collided with an eastbound pickup truck, the Lewiston Tribune reported.

Acting Capt. Jeff Jenson with the Lewiston Fire Department said the driver of the pickup, Lewiston resident Patrick M. Madden, wasn't injured in the crash.

Neither Temi nor Daniel Meninick were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
