PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland police say a cyclist heard arguing with someone early Wednesday morning in north Portland may have been pushed into the path of oncoming traffic.

The cyclist died after being taken to a hospital. Investigators said the cyclist may have been hit by two vehicles, both of which stopped. The drivers are being interviewed by police officers. No identification information for the cyclist has been released.

The identity of the cyclist has not been released. Investigators are trying to find the person the cyclist was arguing with. No description of the wanted person has been released.

The incident took place near North Haven Street and North Willamette Boulevard at about 2:30 a.m. The University of Portland campus is near the location.

Witnesses, none of whom police say actually saw the incident, report they heard heard loud arguing before the cyclist was hit.

The Major Crash Team is on scene investigating the incident.

UPDATE 12:14 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4:

Portland Police investigators have identified the bicyclist who died after being hit on North Willamette Boulevard Wednesday morning as 31-year-old Kipp Daniel Crawford of Portland. Investigators believe that Crawford was "already in the roadway when he was hit by two vehicles," according to a press release.

The drivers from both vehicles were at the scene and were interviewed by officers. The driver of the Cadillac was identified as 41-year-old Carlos Tyrone McCall. McCall was charged with one count of driving under the influence. The driver of the other vehicle involved, an Isuzu SUV, has been identified as 44-year-old Felisa Washington-Berry. Berry also was charged with one count of driving under the influence.
