MOSCOW - Well, now it's the University of Idaho's turn to get its very own plane.
That is, if an Idaho-based advertising agency has its way.
On Friday, Advantage Advertising offered to donate a graphic design of a Vandal-themed Q400 airliner to Horizon Air in the wake of the school's athletic director's refusal to board Horizon's Boise State plane. Advantage Advertising is the school's athletic department advertising agency.
"We wanted to help Horizon Air expedite the process of getting a Vandal aircraft into their fleet and continue our support of the University of Idaho," said Charles Christopher, Advantage Advertising president.
Earlier this week, 2News broke the story that Dr. Rob Spear, UI athletic director,
refused to board the BSU plane and elected to drive to Spokane and then board a separate plane to Boise.
No word yet if Horizon will take up the agency's offer.
