It better not be a tough game because as Bronco fans convoy to Logan with lofty BCS aspirations, it's not enough for their undefeated team to have passion, tradition or excellence.

BOISE -- Hours before sunrise Friday, the loyal members of Bronco Nation gathered at Bronco Stadium, forming a convoy to Logan Utah for the game against Utah State.

"I love it," said BSU fan Mike Bierman. "It's about family, enjoying the Broncos, cheering them on. It's going to be a tough game."

It better not be a tough game because as Bronco fans convoy to Logan with lofty BCS aspirations, it's not enough for their undefeated team to have passion, tradition or excellence.

No, for the Broncos to impress the BCS, it seems they must utterly demolish their opponents.

While the Broncos strive to maintain perfection, the Western Athletic Conference has Boise-based PR firm Scott Peyron & associates working to level the playing field of public opinion, lobbing factoids the way Kellen Moore tosses TD passes.

Here's a sampling:
  • Boise State is 10-0, 6-0 in the WAC. They are 10-0 for the fourth time in six years.

  • If Boise State goes undefeated this season, it will be the fourth time in six years. In the last four years, Boise State has gone 4-1 against the BCS with wins over Oregon (2), Oregon State and Oklahoma.

  • Boise State has only trailed three times in its games all year, has scored 38-consecutive points in four games, has scored at least 17 straight points in nine games and scores 43.6 points per game (first in nation).

  • Boise State has the nation's leader in QB pass efficiency (172.49) and touchdown passes (32), Heisman Candidate Kellen Moore.

  • Boise State has the nation's best winning percentages this decade:

  • Since 2000, Boise State is 108-17 overall with a .864 winning percentage, which is best in the nation.

Several national sports writers predict Boise State will return to the Fiesta Bowl and play Iowa.
