Bathrobe bandit? Suspect robs convenience store in his bathrobe

NAMPA - A convenience store robbery suspect has a new nickname.

"The Bathrobe Bandit."

Nampa Police says at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a male with a light complexion entered the Jackson's on Caldwell Boulevard and ordered an elderly male to the ground. Officials say the robber displayed a handgun and then directed the store clerk to place an undisclosed amount of cash into a bag and fled the scene on foot.

The suspect was described as a young male with light complexion, wearing flip-flop sandals, dark knee-length shorts and a bathrobe.

He concealed his face with a bandanna and a hoodie sweatshirt covering his head. Witnesses believe he is 16-19 years old, about 5'6" with a thin build.

Nampa Police Detectives are actively working this investigation and request the public's help to identify and locate this robbery suspect. Officials are urging everyone to not approach this person as he is considered armed and potentially dangerous.
