POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — Police say they have arrested a Chubbuck man believed to have made threats that prompted lockdowns of two Pocatello schools in November.

Authorities say 50-year-old Thomas "Rudy" Arellano was apprehended Sunday during a routine traffic stop in Montpellier. He is being held in the Caribou County Jail.

The Idaho State Journal reports he was arrested on an outstanding warrant for domestic battery, stemming from claim filed by his wife Nov. 16.

Pocatello police allege that Arellano made threats that led to the lockdown of Pocatello High School on Nov. 16 and then the Lincoln Early Learning Center the next day. Parents of children who attend those two schools say Arrellano made threats against their children.
