Former Duck, 30,000 Bronco fans strong
BOISE - Drew Vachal grew up in Boise and has been a Bronco fan his whole life but went to Eugene, Ore. for college. He's now transferring to Boise State and will start in January as a junior. But before the psychology major even left Duck territory, he started up an unofficial fan page on the social networking website Facebook.com.

His expectations were only in the hundreds but now tens of thousands of Bronco fans have found a home online. Vachal says fans from all over the country and world have found the site and post comments and encouragement for the coach and players.

"It was my decision to make a Fiesta Bowl page but I was thinking I'd get 500 fans," he said "Not too many but now it's at 31,500 or something and I was never expecting that at all."

Vachal says he even contacted the BSU Athletic program and they allowed him to continue his site. He tries to post articles of support for TCU to generate a healthy dialogue and says the animosity between the Oregon Ducks and Boise State Broncos should be forgotten.

"I'm pulling for the Ducks always unless they're playing the Broncos," he said.
