Former cop accused of sexually abusing infants pleads not guilty
BOISE - A former Boise Police officer accused of sexually abusing several infants has plead not guilty to the crimes.
Stephen Young was in Ada County Court Thursday. He plead not guilty to four counts of lewd conduct.
The victims were all infants at the time Young had sexual contact with them, according to officials. The victims are known to Young but but did not live in his home. The sexual contact happened in various homes in Ada County, police say.
Prosecutors have said there's evidence that Young has abused children for up to 30 years, which includes 13 victims in the past.
His trial has been scheduled for June 27. His attorney said he plans on filing a change of venue request.
