Nampa woman arrested, charged in boyfriend's death

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) - Nampa police say they have arrested a 34-year-old woman who they believe stabbed and killed her boyfriend.

Officers say Susana Quijano stabbed the 34-year-old man once in the chest Saturday night on the 500 block of N. Franklin Blvd. The man, whose idenitification police have not been able to confirm, was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police believe the incident was a domestic dispute between the couple, who were boyfriend and girlfriend. Officers say the two involved have a history of domestic violence.

Officials say they've been unable to find the knife used in the alleged stabbing. Nampa Police say officers have searched for the knife twice. They believe Quijano left the area and chucked it out a car window somewhere along the freeway.

Quijano was arrested Sunday evening, when police saw her walking down the street in Caldwell. They say she was taken into custody without incident, and is now booked in the Canyon County Jail.

Police say Quijano, who is from Nampa, is charged with second-degree murder. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
