Nampa Police track down suspected robber spotted on video

NAMPA, Idaho (KBOI) -- A man who detectives say is responsible for two recent robberies in the Nampa area has been booked into the Canyon County Jail, police say.

Nampa PD says it has arrested 20-year-old Kyle Schafer after he allegedly robbed two businesses in December and January. He was spotted on surveillance video walking into a convenience store with a knife.

Police say tips from citizens as well as an investigation led detectives to Schafer. He now faces grand theft, destruction of evidence, two counts of robbery and a burglary charge, which are all felonies.
