Ontario Police arrest wanted Idaho felon after standoff
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Police in Ontario, Oregon say they have arrested a man wanted in Idaho on drug charges.

Police say they learned Kristopher Craig Hensley, 26, of Weiser, was at a home in the 400 block of NW 5th Street in Ontario Thursday afternoon.

Hensley has warrants out of Ada and Payette Counties for failure to appear on a drug charge and resisting and officer.

Ontario Police say received no response from the house after several attempts, and eventually used tear gas inside the home.

Police say Hensley was located in an attic space and gave himself up before a K-9 was deployed to subdue him.

Homes in the area had been evacuated by police and surrounding streets were blocked off while the standoff went on.

One Ontario officer injured his arm while deploying the tear gas and received treatment at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Ontario.

Hensley has been booked into the Malheur County Jail.
