Evening event raises funds for graduating seniors
BOISE - Treasure Valley residents came together on Thursday, September 26th to celebrate the life of Taylor Wood and raise funds for a scholarship in his memory.

Taylor was an avid recreationist who passed away over the summer following a tragic accident on the Boise River.

The fundraiser event, held at Hannah's in Boise, was geared toward raising money for the Taylor Wood Tech Scholarship Fund.

It's for graduating seniors from Cole Valley Christian School.

Taylor's mother recently spoke to KBOI 2News and said her son saw inspiration in everything and everyone around him.

"A great adventure to him, as he grew older, was to see what God was doing around him," Carla Wood said.

The fundraiser included a night of music and auction items.

The event was called "The Domino Affect" to honor Taylor's wish to reach out to others, no matter what their situation in life.

The event also furthered the message of wearing bright, orange life vests and to remember water safety.

Members of the Boise Fire Team also attended the event.
