BOISE - The Idaho Attorney General says Janssen Pharmaceuticals will pay the state more than $1.3 million dollars.

It's part of a much larger, billion-dollar, multi-state and federal settlement.

It resolves allegations that between 1999 and 2005, Janssen unlawfully promoted its anti-psychotic drug, Ripserdal.

The lawsuit claimed Janssen unlawfully paid healthcare professionals to prescribe Risperdal.

The states, including Idaho, argued that Janssen's actions caused a loss to the state Medicaid programs.
