Idahoans React to Senator Craig's Induction to Idaho Hall of Fame
Cameras weren't allowed inside the induction last night, but attendants said Senator Craig received a polite applause when accepting his award and now that Idahoans have had a day to absorb the news, they've got a lot to say about it.

Senator Larry Craig's reputation is tarnished by the now infamous airport bathroom arrest, but last night he was honored for his many years of public service at the Idaho Hall of Fame ceremony.

Craig was chosen for induction last spring, well before his sex-sting arrest and many Idahoans say they're glad Craig still received the honor for a quarter century of political work in this state.

Amy Henderson said, "I think he's done a lot for Idaho and I think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. I think his personal issues should be personal."

Fred Bauer told CBS 2 Eyewitness News, "I think it's appropriate. I think what he had done for the state has been superb."

Others believe it's not the hall of fame he should be in, but the hall of shame, "I think he made a joke out of Idaho, so I don't think he should be inducted," Kasey Swinford said.

Appropriate or not, Craig showed up at the ceremony, but answered only one question, "What do you have to say to your constituents?"

Senator Craig responded by saying, "I have nothing to say tonight. I am very appreciative of the award I just received."

So, what would you ask Senator Craig if you got the chance?

Marilyn Kaper would ask, "Where did his integrity go? And then the second thing I would say to him is most people don't even care if you're gay or not it's whether you have any honor."

Fred Bauer said he would tell the Senator, "He's been a very good Senator, been very good to the veterans administration, and that I'm sorry that he didn't come out sooner in terms of his personal preferences, sexually and so forth, because he's not alone in Washington, DC."

Ron Lambert said he would ask, "Why did he plead guilty if he wasn't guilty?"

Terri Littrell said, "Does he really want to be in that position where he knows the states not behind him?"

It's clear at least some Idahoans aren't behind their Senator even if the Hall of Fame is.

For now those and many other questions will remain unanswered because the Senator isn't talking.
