Motorcyclist killed in collision with truck identified

EAGLE, Idaho (KBOI) - The Ada County Coroner has released the identity of a motorcyclist killed early Monday morning.

Officials say 64-year-old Arthur Peter Zottarelli of Eagle died as a result of blunt force trauma after the crash on State Street and Park near Eagle High School.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office says as the driver of the pick-up truck neared the intersection with Park, he attempted to turn into a convenience store parking lot and collided with the motorcycle.

Investigators say Zottarelli, who was wearing a helmet, was killed instantly.

No word yet on possible citations or charges.
