Karney Fire: Progress made, evacuations remain in effect
BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Fire officials say good progress has been made on the Karney Fire burning northeast of Boise near Wilderness Ranch.

Officials say the fire is now 40 percent contained and is estimated at 440 acres.

Boise National Forest Service officials say residents in the Robie Creek and Wilderness Ranch are still under a voluntary evacuation order, but local property owners are allowed into the area.

Drivers on Highway 21 between Boise and Idaho City should keep their eyes out for fire equipment on the road.
