CHILOQUIN, Ore. - Two people escaped injury when their small plane crashed in deep snow on a rural aiprort runway.

Pilot Brett Hopper, 31, attempted a touch-and-go landing at the Chiloquin Airport on Tuesday afternoon on a closed, snow-covered runway, Oregon State Police said.

Hopper's Cessna 182 dug in to the 18 inches of snow, causing him to lose control of the plane.

The wings and nose hit the ground, damaging the prop.

Neither Hopper nor his passenger were injured.
