SEATTLE -- Missing: Subway restaurant toilet tank. Last seen: Being carried off hidden in large black plastic garbage bag.

Police say a man and his family walked into the West Seattle store in the 4700 block of 42nd Ave SW around 7:45 p.m. Sunday.

But while the family was placing their order, the man went into the bathroom and took quite some time -- so much time, that the wife knocked on the door and asked him what was taking so long.

The family eventually left the restaurant without him.

A short time later the man emerged from the bathroom carrying a large, black plastic bag and quickly left. An employee walked into the bathroom to find the toilet tank missing, the sink still running and stuffed with paper towels, and to top it all off, the bathroom key was missing.

Several witnesses at the scene provided enough information about the thief to where police have identified a suspect, and their theft detectives are working the case.
