3 school supers give their state of the district

CALDWELL, Idaho (KBOI) - Three Canyon County school superintendents came together to give the status of their districts at a forum.  A  Q and A was held for Caldwell, Nampa and Vallivue school heads by the Canyon County republicans.

The Caldwell superintendent says his focus is on academics. While Nampa is still solving its finances after 2012's massive accounting errors.  They say they are still struggling to keep their heads above water. "We've got a problem with cash flow. We should have this money sitting in an account, it's not there.  We're going to have a hard time meeting our bills," Pete Koehler said, from Nampa.

But the Nampa Superintendent says they have turned a corner and will be out of debt by the end of the school year. And now the ones that contributed to their financial hardships are out. "They're gone, everybody who's finger was in that pot, we still have some clerks, but the decision makers are gone," Koehler said.
