CALDWELL- Armed with a sneakers, a neighborhood map and voter information Leo Morales set out on foot to target a key demographic: Latinos.
"We're with the Idaho Community Action Network and today we are in your community reminding people to vote," said Leo Morales, a member of the Idaho Community Action Network.
Morales has been working for three months to reach as many voters as he can. Knocking on doors, talking to them in Spanish or English about the election and leaving them with bilingual voter information.
"Everyone that's eligible should have access to voting, so what we do as a community organization is if people need transportation, if they need interpretation we are able to provide that to them so they can vote," Morales said.
On Saturday, Morales and about a dozen members of the Idaho Community Acton Network set out to knock on 500 doors.
"In canyon county it's important to reach to the diverse community we have here," Morales said.
Both presidential candidates recognize the importance of courting the Latino vote.
Morales says it's time for Idaho's 10,000 registered Latino voters to get involved.
"These decisions impact our daily lives and community members should really get out and vote," Morales said.
