BOISE - If you're looking for a job you might want to take notice.
More than 20 employers are gathering at the Idaho Hiring Expo at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
Unlike recent job fairs that featured commission positions, this gathering is a true hiring expo, organizers say, with the 20 plus participating employers having wage or salaried jobs available now that need filling (both in Idaho and out of state).
"The goal is to connect local and national companies who are hiring with skilled and highly qualified candidates who are seeking employment opportunities and/or new careers," Expo organizers say.
Educational institutions will also be on hand to provide information on professional development and retraining options. Recruiters will meet with job seekers face-to-face to take applications, interview and hire - all in one place. There will be company displays and break-out rooms to conduct confidential interviews.
Here's a list of the employers that will be at the expo: Hours are from noon - 6 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
