CALDWELL – Canyon County officials are reporting two more positive West Nile Virus tests. Both results came from one trap located at Caldwell Ponds, Idaho State Department of Fish and Game fishing area.

Canyon County says the trap contained 285 Culex mosquitoes and the Canyon County Mosquito Abatement District started West Nile Virus response in this particular area over the weekend, and will continue through the next couple of days.

CCMAD says follow-up testing will be conducted later in the week.

Officials say this is the fourth reported West Nile Virus test for Canyon County and follow-up testing on the previous announced locations on Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge and Parma have returned negative for the virus.
