Man files tort claim over Taser incident
BOISE - An Eagle-based law firm has filed a tort claim with the Boise City Clerk for the man who was Tased by the Boise Police Department earlier this year.

Last week, the Boise Police Ombudsman, including the Boise Police chief, reported that two officers acted inappropriately when apprehending a suspect in February.

One officer Tased the man in the buttocks and threatened to Tase him in the genitals after he was handcuffed.

"(We have) concluded that the conduct of the involved law enforcement officers were deplorable and inexcusable," Camacho Mendoza Coulter Law Group states in a press release. "As a direct result of their actions, our client's constitutional rights were violated."

The law firm states that the investigation by the police department was insufficient and wants to see policy changes.

A tort claim is an official notice, which means the man has every intent to sue the police department.
