HIDDEN SPRINGS - Firefighters were called shortly before 10 p.m. on Monday to Cartwright and Blazing Star, just outside the Hidden Springs community, for reports of a wildfire.
The Boise BLM says wind spread the fire 200 to 300 acres, but was contained Tuesday morning.
Officials say the Boise BLM, Boise Fire Department and the North Ada County Fire Department responded to fight the blaze and protect several homes, but no buildings were damaged.
The cause is under investigation.
