NAMPA - It's become an iconic picture of the Treasure Valley. A community coming together, this time donating thousands to build Christine Winters' family, a new home.

"It's more than we could've ever done anything like this on our own," Winters said.

With tears in their eyes, 17-year-old Marcia Winters' watched the tarp rise, along with the rest of her family.

"If one of us does get put in a wheelchair, we'll be able to get our way through every room," she said.

Project manager Mitch Wolf says College Church of the Nazarene started "Project Winters Hope" four months ago, and it only took two weeks to build the house.

Instead of taking their yearly mission trip overseas, the church decided to help the Winters family, with mother Christine recovering from cancer, father Brad losing his job, and teen daughters Marcia and Julie challenged by Muscular Dystrophy like their dad.

The Winters had a hard time getting around their old house. The made-over home is designed so Brad, Marcia and Julie have enough room for crutches and wheelchairs.

The family says they're looking forward to a fun night together, optimistically opening a chapter in their new home, without any limits.
