If you have a sweet tooth you can find just about anything to satisfy it at Powell's Sweet Shoppe in southeast Boise.
From a wide selection of chocolate bars to an over-sized Pez dispenser and barrels of old-time favorites there are things you'll find here that you won't see anywhere else.
"This is the first time I've been here and it's awesome. Have you ever seen Abba Zaba's like this?" asked sweet shopper Heidi Creighton.
"There's just about everything from the 40's, 50's and 60's," said customer Mary Provant.
"Over half this stuff is definitely not familiar at all. I've heard of this.. a moon pie," said sweet shopper Angelina McCrary.
"This store helps to create memories for all generations. People get to rediscover candy that they had when they were younger," said store owner, Debbie Giordano.
Some of that candy includes things like pop rocks, fun dip, sugar babies, bubblegum cigars and candy cigarettes. There's even an assortment of black licorice and sugar free candy.
Plus, you can find a huge selection of lollipops and an endless supply of gummy candy.
And that's not all Powell's is serving up. You can also get a scoop of gelato
or a selection of gourmet chocolates from the chocolate bar.
You might need a toothbrush once you leave Powell's but you'll be in heaven while you're there.
Powell's Sweet Shoppe is located at 3064 Bown Way in Boise.
