Two killed in crash near New Plymouth
NEW PLYMOUTH - Idaho State Police Troopers and Payette Sheriff Deputies responded to a two-vehicle double fatality collision near New Plymouth Friday night.

Investigating officers report that Scott Jensen, 31, of New Plymouth, was driving his 2001 Dodge pickup truck westbound on State Highway 52 at milepost 14 near the intersection of Sandhollow Road in rural Payette County. He was wearing his seat belt.

Lacy Fine, age 18 of Meridian, was driving a 1991 Dodge Stealth northbound on Sandhollow Road. Fine entered the intersection into the path of the Dodge pickup operated by Jensen. The vehicles collided and both ran off the roadway.

The Dodge pickup overturned onto its top. Fine was not wearing her seat belt. Her passengers were Carlos Murray, 20, of Caldwell. He was the right rear passenger and was not wearing a seat belt and Brittani Rennels, 19, of Boise. She was the right front passenger and was not wearing a seat belt.

Murray and Rennels appeared to have been killed instantly. Fine was seriously injured and had to be extricated by the New Plymouth Rural Fire Department. She was treated by Payette County Paramedics and transported by Lifeflight EMS Helicopter to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for treatment. Jensen received minor injuries.

The investigation continues by ISP Corporal Shawn Klitch with the assistance of the ISP Collision Reconstruction Unit, Payette County Sheriff Deputies, and the Payette County Coroner.
