BOISE - Ada County Dispatch says a 11-year-old boy was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at Meridian High School a little after 3 p.m. while the child was riding a bicycle through the school parking lot.

Lt. Bob Stowe with the Meridian Police Department said the boy cut between some cars that were stopped in traffic waiting to leave the lot and darted in front of the vehicles as they started to move.

The boy, who injured his leg, was taken to the hospital. No citations have been issued at this time.
