IDAHO CITY - The missing 97-year-old Parma man has been found dead.

Police say Willie Evans' pickup truck was spotted Sunday at about noon by a highway clean up crew on Highway 21 near milepost 52 toward Idaho City.

Police say two men from the crew approached the vehicle and found a body inside. The body was identified through photographs and items in the wallet as Willie Evans.

The vehicle appears to have left the roadway on Highway 21 at about milepost 51.8 southbound from Lowman toward Idaho City, police say. The vehicle traveled down an embankment approximately 150 feet, coming to rest in some large rocks and trees.

A preliminary coroner’s report places the time of death approximately two weeks ago.

The cause of death is unknown, and a preliminary examination of the body yielded nothing suspicious.
