BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) — Baker City police say a man driving a car with a red-and-blue light mounted on its dash has been impersonating an officer.

A Baker County woman reported being pulled over by what she thought was an unmarked patrol car displaying emergency lights on the night of Nov. 5. Police Chief Wyn Lohner says the man stepped from the car and approached the woman's vehicle, shining a flashlight in her eyes.

Lohner says the woman asked for a marked patrol car to come to the scene. That sent the man back to his car and he drove away.

Three similar incidents were reported earlier in the year in the Idaho communities of Parma and Council.
