Base identifies sergeant found dead

MOUNTAIN HOME - Authorities at Mountain Home Air Force Base have identified the Airman who died over the weekend.

Tech. Sgt. Damon Robinson, 34, was assigned to the 366th Fighter Wing and died at approximately 7 p.m. Nov. 15.

Robinson was found unresponsive at his home in Mountain Home Sunday and transported to the Elmore County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of death has not been released.

"Sergeant Robinson was a valued member of our Gunfighter team," said Col. John Bird, 366th FW commander. Sergeant Robinson's passing is a huge loss for the Air Force and Mountain Home Air Force Base. Megan and I send our sincere condolences to his family and friends."

The Lancaster, Calif., native leaves behind a wife and two sons.

An investigation of his death is currently ongoing.
