Thanksgiving on a budget
BOISE - Most major grocery stores have plenty of specials and coupons this time of year.

For customers though, it can be difficult to find the best deal. We checked out four major food chains in Boise, Winco, Albertsons, Walmart and Fred Meyer for the lowest prices on Thanksgiving staples.

We discovered one of the cheapest ways to get turkey is to search for specials. At Winco, if you spend $50.00 on grocercies, you could pay $0.37 per pound on a turkey.

Albertsons wins the bargain battle when it comes to potatoes and cranberry sauce. A ten pound bag of potatoes is selling for $0.88 this week, while a can of cranberry sauce is $0.57.

Winco wins when it comes to green beans and stuffing with special deals both under a dollar.

Fred Meyer is having a big sale on pumpkin pie, where customers could get two for five dollars.

So at the end of the day, if your wallet isn't stuffed, that doesn't mean your belly can't be.
