BOISE - Police responded to a one vehicle car crash Friday morning.

According to preliminary reports, the driver drove the car down an embankment off of Federal Way toward Broadway.

Boise Police says the vehicle was traveling westbound on Federal Way when it went off the roadway and hit the guard rail on Broadway south of the overpass.

The driver, Rachel Akhtar and a juvenile passenger were transported to the hospital with what appeared at the time to be minor injuries.

Akhtar has been cited with driving under the influence (prescription medications), failure to provide proof of insurance and injury to a child.
