Boise's Cazba delivers on Thanksgiving
BOISE -- The tiny kitchen is so cramped you'd think they were cooking on the international space station.

Well, there is an international flavor.

It's Thanksgiving at the Cazba restaurant where owner Max Mohammadi is hosting a free turkey feast for those who might otherwise go without.

"I'm just grateful to be able to participate in this," said Dan Knowle of Salt Lake City. "And that Max could open his restaurant up."

Situated in the heart of Downtown Boise on 8th Street between Idaho and Bannock, Cazba has offered this special meal for eleven years, all made possible thanks to public donations and volunteer assistance.

This year though, with the economic downturn, donations to the Cazba feast were down and Max Mohammadi worried there might not be enough to feed as many as last year.

Mohammedi and others appealed for help, the community stepped up and the challenge was met.

"It was an eleventh hour thing," said Mohammadi. "All of a sudden: bam! In fact one person came in today and gave $100 to the fund, it was awesome."

Mohammadi immigrated to the United States from Iran and says this country has always been good to him so one he wants to give back.

"I consider myself an American," he said. "And i need to do my duty."

And this day, Max and company served up success.
