COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A Bonners Ferry woman is suing Idaho and the Idaho Transportation Department because she says a faulty traffic signal is to blame for a two-car collision on state Highway 95 in April.

The Coeur d'Alene Press reports that Kathleen Douglass filed the lawsuit last week, asking for restitution for injuries, distress and general damage.

Douglass says both traffic signals at the intersection of Highway 95 and state Highway 54 showed green when Douglass' vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Corlie Nelson of Hayden.

Douglass says she was injured in the crash.

The Idaho Department of Risk Management declined to comment on the lawsuit.
